San Diego Chapter Holds 15th Annual Jakes Day

On Saturday June 22nd the San Diego Chapter of the NWTF held their 15th annual JAKES Day at the Escondido Fish & Game Association. This event hosted 80+ youth 6 to 15 years old as they rotated through 7 different outdoor activities. These included axe throwing, archery, black powder, rifle target shooting, clay shooting, bb gun, and wild turkey biology. This event was free for all participants which included a t-shirt and BBQ lunch.

This event was made possible through the efforts of our passionate volunteers who believe that hunting is conservation and that youth are our future to preserve our hunting traditions. Lead by Chapter President Dave Flesner and Vice President Steve Turigliatto, the San Diego Chapter is equipped to be a successful chapter for years to come.
